pelo C{\'o}digo Florestal de 1965 (CF1965), foram mantidas pelo
C{\'o}digo Florestal de 2012 (CF2012), no entanto os
par{\^a}metros para a delimita{\c{c}}{\~a}o foram alterados.
Este trabalho objetiva o mapeamento das APP por geoprocessamento
de acordo com os par{\^a}metros estabelecidos pelos CF1965,
CF2012 e demais instrumentos legais complementares, a fim de
verificar a distribui{\c{c}}{\~a}o espacial decorrente das
mudan{\c{c}}as introduzidas pelo CF2012. O estudo de caso,
realizado na bacia do rio Boa Esperan{\c{c}}a, situada na
Regi{\~a}o Serrana do Rio de Janeiro, comprovou o decr{\'e}scimo
das APP na ordem de 53%, bem como a perda da conectividade entre
as APP situadas no topo de morros e nas faixas marginais dos
cursos d{\'a}gua. Estes resultados demonstram que as
altera{\c{c}}{\~o}es nos par{\^a}metros poder{\~a}o afetar as
fun{\c{c}}{\~o}es ambientais das APP, entre elas a
preserva{\c{c}}{\~a}o da biodiversidade e a
facilita{\c{c}}{\~a}o do fluxo g{\^e}nico de fauna e flora.
ABSTRACT: Permanent Preservation Areas (PPA), created by the
Brazilian Forestry Code of 1965 (CF1965), were kept by the
Forestry Code of 2012 (CF2012), however delimitation parameters
changed. This paper aims mapping PPA through geoprocessing,
according to the parameters defined by CF1965, CF2012 and other
additional legal instruments, in order to verify PPAs spatial
distribution resulting from changes introduced by CF2012. The case
study, performed at Boa Esperan{\c{c}}a river basin, situated in
the highland region of Rio de Janeiro state, showed reduction of
PPA in order of 53%, as well loss of connectivity between PPAs
situated on the hilltops and marginal areas along the
watercourses. These results show that parameter changes may affect
PPAs environmental functions, including biodiversity preservation
and fauna and flora genetic flow.",
